AHS and SAA Class of 1976: Saylor-Tyler

What have I been up to the last 40 years? I fear I may be too old to remember, but here goes: after graduating from AHS I went to UNL where I majored in agronomy for one semester before changing my major to theatre and graduating with a BFA in acting and directing. While at UNL I enjoyed being an Alpha Delta Pi and a Delta Tau Delta Little Sister, and was on the UNL Speech Team. After UNL I moved to Minneapolis where I met the love of my life, Conrad Feininger. He was/is an actor and he auditioned for a show I was stage managing. Five months later we were married. That was over 35 years ago. We did theatre in the Twin Cities for a while before going to Michigan State University for grad. school. I find it funny that I now have TWO Big Ten teams to root for! I graduated with an MFA in Directing. Conrad and I moved to the Washington DC area and we spent 25+ years there both happily working in the theatre. I have had some success as a playwright as well as a director. Conrad continues to act. Two years ago we decided we needed a change from the traffic and the politics and moved full time to Westport, MA (where we had spent most of our summers.) We decided our lifestyle was far too rough for children so we settled for dogs. When not directly involved in a show we travel a great deal. I spend my days writing or playing with our dogs. We also have a huge garden to tend. I am also actively involved in animal rights and am working on new laws in my state and community. That's about it. Sorry I won't be at the reunion. We will be in Germany working on a show. Have a wonderful time. Saylor
