What
I’ve been up to for the last 40 years seems to be a daunting task. I’ll try to be brief regarding the first 30
years after graduation and focus more on what I’m doing now. Since high school graduation I’ve done the
following: Obtained a post high school
degree in business, got married, had 2 girls, obtained a undergraduate degree
in communicative disorders from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a
graduate degree in speech/language pathology from University of
Wisconsin-Madison, got divorced, worked as a speech/language pathologist for
several school districts in the Madison, Wisconsin area. I’m currently working as a speech/language
pathologist in the early childhood department of a local school district. My daughter, Katie, is a 1st grade teacher in
Black River Falls, WI, and is single; and my daughter, Liz, is married and is a
speech/language pathologist for the El Segundo school district in the Los
Angeles, California, area. I have no
grandchildren yet. I’ve enjoyed
traveling throughout Europe, Ireland, Jamaica, most U.S. states, Israel, and
Peru. By our next reunion, I plan on
doing more international travel; and, I’m hoping to be retired from my current
profession and possibly doing something different for a career.

Forty
years, seems just like yesterday we graduated. I remember my dad's 30 year
reunion! I'm still involved in farming. I tried other jobs for a while, selling
cars and trucks for 3 years. I currently hold a Federal Firearms license. I
enjoy riding my Harley-Davidson motorcycle when time permits.
I
have been married to Lorie Johnson for 34 years and we have 2 sons, Matthew 31
years and Nathan 25 years.
We
welcomed our first grandchild, Addyson Joyce, on April 22 born to Matt
and Ally Benzel.

Before
graduating from AHS I started working a Safeway Stores as a Courtesy Clerk and in
the 32 years I worked for them I became a Head Clerk, 2 Asst. Manager, 1st
Asst. then tested out in Denver Colorado at the assessment Center to become a
Store Manager. I became a Store Manager in Wheatland WY then was transferred to
Casper WY, then Scottsbluff NE. Safeway headed for bad times so I left Safeway
and we moved to Sturgis SD. Where my in-laws owned a Campground we built a
house on the Campground and help maintain it and prepare for the annual Sturgis
Rally. I have now worked for the Department of Transportation of SD and worked
my way up to Maintenance Supervisor of the Sturgis, Deadwood and Spearfish area
supervising 300 miles of roads. We enjoy living in the hills where my wife
(Selina) and I enjoy riding our motorcycles. We had 3 boys Jason living in
Eugene Oregon, Nathan lives in Casper WY and Nick lives in Alliance, Selina is
an RN working in Rapid City SD at an Alzheimer Unit.
