Over
the last 40 years . . . married Kent Seebohm, had 2 children, Cody and Shauna,
and they're 34 and 32 now. Kent and I
divorced in 1989, and first thing I did was enroll at Chadron State, acquired
my Bachelor's Degree in Accounting in December 1993. I took a position in Columbus NE working for
BD (Becton Dickinson) as a General/Cost Accountant. After over 17 years there I decided to take a
position with Katana Summit (manufactured wind towers) but the company folded
after a year. I took a position in Grand
Island at Case New Holland in Grand Island, and commuted for over a year. In 2014 I was contacted by a recruiter of a
position in York at PlyGem, as the cost accountant for York and Fair Bluff NC,
and that's where I've been the last 2+ years.
I refer to it as my dream job . . . great company, wonderful people to
work with, little to no stress!! I love
my job!
I
became a grandma for the first time on March 29th, 2013. Braxton Michael Steyn (Shauna's son) was born
on my 55th birthday, and lives in Columbus with Shauna, so I see him almost
daily. Genevieve Celeste Seebohm (Cody's
daughter) was born on January 20th, 2015.
Unfortunately I don't get to see her often, as Cody and his wife Bekah
moved to Austin TX shortly after they married in 2010. Both grandchildren are such blessings!
Today's
social media helps to keep in touch with old friends, but nothing beats getting
together again. I'm really looking
forward to seeing everyone at the reunion, and sharing some laughs! God bless!
